Introducing – the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) YMCA! This 77,000 sq. ft. facility is a communal hub that will provide a variety of services and programs used to encourage physical activity, socialization, and better mental health for the residents of Vaughan. The City of Vaughan recognized a demand for more community facilities and healthy infrastructure to support its extensive plans in Vaughan’s new downtown area. They approached the YMCA and created this project to provide the community with convenient access to valuable supports and amenities in one centralized facility.

The area surrounding the VMC will be home to approximately 25,000 people, with over 12,000 residential units, a library and office towers. This mixed-use development is set to exceed a minimum of 5,000 office and 1,200 retail service jobs by 2031.
