The City of Vaughan is never short of entertainment! Residents can get ready to enjoy the fun fall activities taking place around the area. One of the communities favourite annual festivals is the Canada’s Wonderland Oktoberfest.

Where Did Oktoberfest Originate?

Oktoberfest was first a German festival, but now, it’s a worldwide phenomenon, taking place to celebrate Bavarian culture and beer! This festival began over 200 years ago as a wedding celebration when the Bavarian Prince Ludwig married Princess Theresa of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The celebration was so good, that it became an annual event.

Celebrate at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan!

Although the main event is in Munich, Germany, the celebration is still just as exciting at Canada’s Wonderland. The reviews have been remarkable, that’s why it’s always back by popular demand! There’s no need to fly to Germany when everything you need is in your home community.

This festival will take over Arthur’s Baye in Wonderland from 12pm – 8pm for two weekends in a row. Treat your entire family or plan an exciting weekend with your friends by taking part in this event on September 14, 15, 21 and 22. Admission is free for season pass holders and a small fee for those without passes.
